One of the things we get asked a lot about is our automated sentiment analysis. Ever since we introduced the beta, we have been receiving a lot of feedback from our users. The majority was positive, which motivated us to improve on the 1.0 version. The first version supported a limited number of languages, but this has now changed.
Determ will now automatically analyze mentions in any language you want.
It will also recognize the language immediately, so in case you have mentions in different languages, it will be able to discern between English and Spanish, and analyze mentions accordingly.
This means you finally get to have a clear picture of your reputation among your foreign users, even if you don’t speak Japanese.
To look at your sentiment results, click Reports -> Automated sentiment.
How does it work?
We analyse positive and negative sentiment of the expressions used in the text of the mention. If one sentiment prevails over others, we allocate the matching sentiment. In case there aren’t any relevant differences, a neutral sentiment is assigned.
What if the sentiment is different from the one set by Determ?
While we do support all languages, some are still in beta testing. In case you notice there is room for improvement, please contact us and your language will be given priority.
There are currently 20 languages which have already been tested directly with our clients:
